Winter Bucketlist: Vail, Colorado

Adventure Travel/ Bucket List/ North America/ USA/ Vail

I love the town of Vail, Colorado during every season of the year. There is something about the alpine village located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains that keeps me coming back for more.

I love Vail during the spring….

the summer….

the fall …..

…but a Vail winter has a special place in my heart!

It’s like being in a real life winter wonderland snow globe. The adventures are epic and the scenery is breathtaking! What more could you ask for?! Here are some of my favorite winter bucket list items for Vail, Colorado.

Snowboarding/ Skiing – The massive Vail Ski Resort is the one of the largest ski resorts in the world. There are so many different runs to chose from ranging from beginner runs to double black diamonds for the more advanced rider.

Snowmobiling – If you’re after an adrenaline rush snowmobiling is the activity for you! Try going on a guided tour or renting your own and exploring trails solo.

Sledding – Nothing makes you feel more like a kid than sledding! Grab a sled, head for a hill and take off…I promise you wont stop laughing!

Hot Springs – If you are into a little R&R on vacation, try exploring the surrounding mineral hot springs. My favorite is Strawberry Park Hot Springs The springs are about a two-hour drive from Vail.

Apres – Another word for happy hour after a long day on the mountain! Need I say more?! Cheers!

Ice Skating – Try your luck with ice-skating in Vail, located in the center of the village. Warning, it may be harder than it looks!

Food and drinks – Make sure to indulge in the yummy culinary scene in Vail. There are so many amazing restaurants to choose from. Some of my favorite hot spots are Mountain Standard, Bully Ranch   (make sure to try their famous mudslide and tater tots), and of course Four Seasons Resort. Enjoy!

Over to you, what are some of your winter bucket list items?
